Well, our season is over. We were beaten by 2 of these teams, Mesa twice and Emporia. Both of them can hit it, but I really like Mesa State’s chances. They have 14 seniors on their roster. Their best player far and away is their shortstop – a fifth year senior, 6’4″ or so. One of those kids that when you see him walk out onto the field, there is no question about it. Oh, and they have a closer that can really bring it. No gun around but seemed to me like 92 or more.

Good luck to everyone and have a safe summer. Fall baseball is just around the corner.

    Go Cats.

Dowling is the worst team by far in this year’s world series. They are going to get embarrassed by UC San Diego. They have no threats as hitters. Prob get no hit the first game

In deference to my opinionated friend, the boys from Dowling did their school and community proud. They were tough as nails and were gamers. Great job Dowling..from a Lynn Parent

I’m going to go with my boys from Kansas. With the best lead off hitter in division 2 Conner Crumbliss and Kevin Birkhead behind him in the three hole they have the best bats in the tournament. Lets go boys, bring that title back to where it belongs. Emporia State all the way!

Great ball club, but a couple of them boys got lucky they didn’t get tossed for unsportmanlike behavior (2b, CF) the rest played with class and dignity. Intensity is one thing but going after the umpire from the dugout….Respect the game

LU has a great line-up and is coming from the toughest region in the nation. The line up starts off with a guy batting over .400 and does not let up. The shortstop should be a gold glover and they return a first team all-american that is ready to break back out. Now to get to pitching….Really! Danny Wright has the most wins in the nation and has 109 strikouts on the year. A good bullpen and a closer that throws chedder is all that is needed in the tourney. If they get to thursday undereated, watch out. The Lynn parents will be in full effect and are ready to cheer them on. Not to mention that the community is behind them and will be in full game mode to bring home the 20th national championship to Boca Raton and Lynn University……Bring it home!

PS: Thank you Cary NC and USA Baseball. Great place for a World Series!
