After losing big in game 1 of their Friday doubleheader (23-6) Augustana came back big themselves to beat Southwest Minnesota State 19-9. Augies Split In Offensive Battle

Wayne State and Minnesota State square off for 4 games this weekend in the biggest series of the year. This series features the 2 teams picked as the top 2 in the coaches poll – they were right. If one of them wins 3+ games they will be in great shape to win the Regular Season Conference Title. WSC – MSU Meet In Clash of Top 2

Northern Sun Baseball 
Did I catch that right. Wayne St leading MSU in the top of the 7th 3-2 . MSU has bases loaded with one out, they intentionally walked in the tying run. The next guy flew out for a sac fly to go ahead go on to win.
I don’t think I have ever seen that. Any thoughts.
They walked 5 in the top of the 7th and there was an intentional walk after a wild pitch opened first base. They walk with first base open set up the double play, unfortunately for WSC that didn’t happen. Total collapse by the bullpen wasted a beautiful pitching performance from Wisroth – 2 hits and 1 earned through 6. MS scored 5 runs on 4 hits.
So, tomorrow for all the marbles. It was cold here today and calling for rain tomorrow.
Second and Third one out game tied 1st base open …. winning run was at third base with one out …. loaded the bases to set up a double … needed a gb … didn’t get one …. give Mankato credit they never quit.
