NSIC Scores From April Fools Day

NSIC Gif

Hey, I know this is a little late and but I thought I’d update the scores from around the Northern Sun Conference in yesterday’s D2 college baseball games:

  • NW Missouri State beat Wayne State 5-1 – Fielding mistakes plague Wildcats again as they give up 4 unearned runs Wildcats Bats Go Silent
  • Upper Iowa and Quincy Split (6-7, 6-2) – Peacock pitcher Brad Mey throws gem in game 2 Upper Iowa Earns Split
  • Winona St. Sweeps Nebraska – Kearney 4-0 & 14-1 – Tony Mueller & Ronnie Olson each have 4 hits on day WSU Overwhelms Lopers

So far, 4 of the scheduled 6 Conference series’ for this weekend have been shifted to Friday/Saturday affairs to avoid forecasted bad weather on Sunday.  Don’t forget to vote on who you think will take the MSUM – SMSU series in our poll on the right.

Congrats to the Winona State team traveling nine hours then kicking UNK’s tails. You know,(tongue in cheek)the NSIC isn’t as good as the RMAC …. Mesa thus far is the best team in the region but after that is up for grabs. CSU-Pueblo beat CSP one game at home … doesn’t mean squat …. we are pretty good at home and we are far from a good team. No disrespect to CSU-Pueblo but one game is no measuring stick. I believe our league is up for grabs, we have a lot good teams, league play is going to be very interesting if the weather cooperates. Only one thing is for sure in our league, Coach Manganaro is a much better fisherman than Coach Poock… sorry Kyle the truth is the truth.

    Good luck all!

Hey coach – looking forward to see how you fare this weekend against CSU. Thanks for stopping by and bringing a smile to my face as usual with your banter.

I hope the weather cooperates on Saturday … It doesn’t look good 😦 Tomorrow will be a nice day … I’m sure both teams will be very competitive … I’m very interested to see how the Wildcats play … we were miserable in Maryville… different year … different team … we will see.
