NCBWA Regional Poll – 3/23/08

The National College Baseball Writers Association has released their Regional Poll for the week of March 23rd.  At the end of the regular season these are the teams that will be competing for 6 spots in the NCAA Regional Tournament.  Both the Northern Sun Conference Tournament Champion and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Champion will earn automatic bids with the remaining 4 spots nominated as at-large bids.

The top 2 spots continue to be Mesa State and Colorado State – Pueblo out of the RMAC.  Wayne State jumps to the #3 position after sweeping Bemidji State in the opening weekend of NSIC play.  Southwest Minnesota State moves up to #4 on the strength of a 10-1 spring trip and Saint Cloud State drops 1 spot after losing unexpectedly to Minnesota Crookston. 

The biggest movers were Augustana who moved into the #8 spot and Concordia who dropped 6 spots after the Augies took 3 of 4 against the Golden Bears over the weekend.  NCBWA Regional Poll
